Liverpool set to visit Qatar in December to play Club World Cup and date and time for Community Shield and UEFA Supercup Revealed

It was initially speculated that Liverpool the winners of this year’s Champions League will not play in the traditional Club World Cup as FIFA wanted a 32 team world cup to be held at Qatar in 2022.

The Summer temperatures in Qatar could raise up to 45°C which is not an ideal temperature for Football. So, the World cup will instead be played in December of 2022, which is the traditional slot for Club World Cup.

Club World Cup in Qatar in Dec 2019 will be the best test of Qatar conditions as there will be no Confederations Cup.

Club World Cup has previously held in the Middle East with UAE hosting 2018 edition.

Apart from Liverpool Tunisian Club Espérance de Tunis from CAF, Mexican Club Monterrey from CONCACAF, Hienghène Sport from OFC and Qatari Club Al-Sadd have been confirmed for the 7-Team tournament.

Liverpool will Also take part in UEFA Super Cup which is being hosted by Istanbul at Vodafone Park where they will face Premier League rivals, Chelsea.

UEFA Super Cup will be held on Wednesday, August 14th at 8 pm GMT.

As Manchester City has won the treble, which means Liverpool will also take part in Community Shield being held on August 4th, 3 P.M GST at Wembley Stadium.
