EFL Championship players coming to end of their contract- Stoke City, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, and Wigan Athletic

Stoke City

Charlie Adam

Charlie Adam bids farewell to a club who utilized his services for Seven Years. The Scot is synonymous with Stoke City.

Darren Fletcher

Darren Fletcher another Scottish international to leave Stoke this season. The 35-Year-Old Scottish man is being linked to a coaching position under Steve Clarke for Scottish national team

Jakob Haugaard

The 27-Year-Old Dane has only made 7 appearances for the senior team in his 4-year service since joining from FC Midtjylland.

Swansea City

Wilfried Bony

The Ivory Coast international was out for most of the first part of the season and joined Al-Arabi SC for the second part of the season. If rumors are to be believed he is looking for Premier League return and has no intention of extending with The Swans.


Leroy Fer

The Swans captain has been a source of interest from the likes of Aston Villa and Burnley. He is not retained by Swansea and is known to be nursing an injury.

Martin Olsson

Swansea decided not to retain the services of Swedish Left back even when they had an option to extend it by a year. Olsson who is still 31 was a regular in their 2017-18 Premier league campaign but only made 17 appearances in the 2018-19 campaign with all of them coming at the start of the season.

Luciano Narsingh

Luciano Narsingh has officially been released by Swansea and he is being linked with Fenerbahce.

West Bromwich Albion

James Morrison

Scottish International James Morrison’s Services will not be renewed at The Baggies. He has spent 12 years at the West Midlands club.

Gareth Barry

Former England international Gareth Barry has also been released by The Baggies. 38-year-old was taking up a lot of wage space if sources are to be believed and with Stoke being unable to get promoted in the first try wage bill has to be brought down

Rekeem Harper

English U19 international Rakeem Harper is being linked to Scottish giants Celtic. There is also interest from The Baggies in retaining the services of youth academy product.

Boaz Myhill 

Boaz Myhill made 85 appearances in his 8-year stay at the club. Myhill has always served The baggies as a good backup goalkeeper. WBA has decided not to retain his services.

Wesley Hoolahan

Wesley Hoolahan who has joined last year on a one year deal from Norwich on free was unable to establish a strong position in starting lineup. At 37 the Irish international has been released by the club.

Wigan Athletic

Nick Powell

Nick Powell has established himself as one of the sought after players at Attacking Midfield position. With 8 goals and 7 assists, he would be a big loss for Wigan if he leaves. Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday, Rangers and Celtic are being linked to him.

Callum McManaman

Callum McManaman is turning into a journeyman of sought. Wigan Athletic has shown no interest in retaining the services of the 28-year-old English man.

Darron Gibson

The 31-Year-old Irish international was unable to break into the first team scene at DW Stadium. The Irish man has shown interest in staying at the club but there doesn’t seem to be any interest from The Latics.

Shaun MacDonald

Shaun MacDonald never made it into starting lineup under Paul Cook and has been released by The Latics.

Jonas Olsson

Jonas Olsson has joined Wigan in February of 2019 and played a backup Center back role. He has been officially released from the club.

James Vaughan

James Vaughan has spent the second half of the season at Portsmouth FC who have lost to Sunderland in the Semi-final of League one playoffs. He has also been officially released.
