Brazil beats Argentina to reach Copa America Final

Brazil 2-0 Argentina

Firmino and Jesus broke the hearts of Messi and Co to reach the final. Interestingly Brazil has won all Copa America tournaments which were hosted by them.

The first goal was scored by Jesus in the 19th minute, from Firmino’s sliding pass which is a thing of beauty.

The second goal came after a brilliant run on the counter by Jesus, beating the challenge of Otamendi to surge into the left inside channel and picked Firmino in space. Firmino was left with a simple finish to double his side’s lead in the 71st minute.

That means both Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Jesus both had one goal and one assist each.

In another major incident, Marquinhos looked like he pulled his hamstring and was substituted by Joao Miranda.

They hosted the tournament on four previous occasions. They will now face the winners of tomorrows game between Chile and Peru at Maracanã Stadium on July 7th.
