10-Men Brazil wins Copa America Title for the 9th time

Brazil went into the final as overwhelming favorites to win the final and end their 12-year drought of winning a major title.

One can only sympathize with Peru who never made the final since 1975 and came into this clash with the hope of ending their 44 years drought of winning a major title.

The result was expected, as Brazil won 5-0 against Peru just two weeks ago in the tournament’s group stage.

Major Events of the final

In the 15th minute, Dani Alves picked out Gabriel Jesus down the right flank and Jesus put the crosses for Everton at the back post and Everton finished it comfortably.  1-0 Brazil.

In the 41st minute, Penalty is given after the ball strikes Thiago Silva on the arm as he slides in for a tackle which is converted by Paolo Guerrero. 1-1 Peru.

In 1st half extra time, Firmino wins the ball back on the halfway line and finds Arthur who then finds Gabriel Jesus and Jesus scores. 2-1 Brazil.

The 75th Minute, Gabriel Jesus is shown 2nd yellow card which means Brazil is down to 10 men for final 15 minutes + extra time.

The 89th minute, Zambrano fouls Everton conceding a penalty and Richarlison converts it calmly. 3-1 Brazil
